Class Update

Topic—Fun, Food and Fitness

Our topic this term is all about us and how we can stay healthy. We have found out about how humans grow and change. We have looked at how we can keep healthy by eating the right food and exercising. We tasted fruit and selected our favourites to make fruit salad and to end our topic we will be making healthy biscuits.

English— Biscuit Bear

In English we have been reading about the adventures of Biscuit Bear. The class loved the story and were able to use drama to act out scenes from the book. We retold the story in our own words and to end the topic we will be writing a new adventure.

Maths—Multiplication and Division

Over the last few weeks we have been learning about the 2, 5 and 10 x tables. We have been grouping and sharing in division and having lots of fun with counters. Our favourite new game is x tables bingo. We have been using some interactive games on Top Marks maths.

Anti-Bullying Week

In year 2 we spent a week looking at anti-bullying. We found out about being a good friend and how we can help if we think others are being bullied. The children got creative and designed their own anti-bullying posters.
